Some folks just
prefer to know they have real wood on their homes.
We import first growth Western Canadian red cedar that is kiln dried.
Cedar is the natural choice for the Northwest, as it is naturally
pest-resistant, mold and moisture resistant. We choose wood from mills that is the best from the mills in the
region. An excellent alternative is an imported
Nordic Prime’s Spruce
siding. We feel that if you can’t have a top quality wood siding, then
you really should go with an alternative.
Then again, there
are the fibercement sidings
composed of cement and cellulose fibers. There are plusses to this
siding, like being rot, fire, and pest resistant, at a very affordable
price.
These sidings will
require painting, but can be made maintenance-free to last a lifetime by
coating with
CHIC Liquid Vinyl,
rather than paint.
